Hand stitched in Ireland and sustainably made using reclaimed fabrics and yarn, a textile greetings card that can be kept and admired long after it was received.
The Triquetra card is inspired by the ancient Celtic knot, it features a series of interlacing hand stitched lines to form three equal and balanced arcs.
The power of 3 can symbolise many different things and it’s appeal has endured through millennia.
The design is sewn using green cotton yarn which was the production waste from local Monaghan hand-weaver Liz Christy.
The yarn has been embroidered onto a gold pure silk base which was scrap fabric left over from a costume department.
All Convert greeting cards are made in small batches and colourways are limited edition due to the nature of using reclaimed fabrics and yarns. The edition number is marked on the back of each card making each card one of a kind.
Truly sustainable, the card itself and envelope are 100% recycled. The entire card can actually be composted! Although if the recipient can't bear to part with it, the card can be placed in a frame and displayed as wall art.
The card measures 15 x 15CM and has been left blank inside for your own message.
Your card will be supplied in a protective transparent cover which is cornstarch based and can be composted.
